| 240 MINUTESIndeed’s Rising Voices, in partnership with Emmy® Award-winning writer, creator and actor Lena Waithe and her company Hillman Grad Productions and 271 Films, is back with its fourth season. Indeed knows that while talent is universal, opportunity, especially in the film industry—is not. Unequal access in the film industry is particularly harmful due to film's significant role in shaping societal attitudes and perspectives, and that’s why this program focuses on providing new opportunities to discover, invest in and amplify stories created by BIPOC filmmakers.
Ten filmmakers were selected from over 700 applicants to create short films around the singular theme “the future of work.” Indeed truly believes the world can work better and a key component of that vision is extending opportunity to all people.
Indeed will debut the 10 Rising Voices Season Four shorts at the 2024 Tribeca Festival in NYC on June 10th.
Season four participants include: Mercedes Arturo, Kelly Yu, Anndi Jinelle Liggett, Wes Goodrich, Jean Liu, Kelly Luu & Kevin Luu, Winter Dunn, Manuel Del Valle, Omar Kamara, and Robin Takao D’Oench.
