Shirley Williams

Shirley Vernae Williams is a storytelling enthusiast. She has worked in media and entertainment as a producer and director for over 10+ years. She now runs her own digital media agency Willie B. Media. She's produced over 140 hours of television for major networks, developed over 20+ series for major brands across all industries including Cadillac, CDC, Ikea, Ritz and was one of the leading producers to help launch Vice Media's largest digital channel's for Black women, Unbothered. Shirley has won several awards, was nominated for an Emmy and her content has received over 80+ million views. She also sits on various boards and leads Hue You Know, the largest BIPOC community in media & entertainment, servicing over 21,000 members.

A.V. Rockwell

A.V. Rockwell’s feature film debut, A THOUSAND AND ONE, won the US Dramatic Grand Jury Prize at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. The film was released theatrically by Focus Features to critical acclaim. Rockwell received the ‘Breakthrough Director’ honor at the Gotham Awards, an Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature and the film was named ‘Top 10 Independent Films of the Year’ by the National Board of Review. Additionally, Rockwell received a nomination from the Directors Guild of America for 'Outstanding Achievement in a First-Time Theatrical Feature Film,' as well as two nominations at the NAACP Image Awards.
Over her career, Rockwell has been named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film and has received fellowships from the Sundance Institute, Tribeca Film Institute and the John S. Guggenheim Foundation.

Antoine "Noemad" Reid

Professionally known as Noemad, a photographer and content creator based in New York. Noemad has worked with global brands such as Nike, Warner Brothers, MTV, Beats by Dre, Moët, American Express, Netflix, Hulu, Google, and more. In 2015, Noemad had his first solo art show at NYC’s Wallplay Gallery. In 2019, exhibited with a group at Miami’s Art Basel, debuting his photography book published in early 2021.Born and raised in New York, Noemad’s creative career began in the music industry at age 15 – while his love for photography started in the ‘90s after borrowing his parents’ video camera. Known for his cinematic aesthetic and visual style which is nuanced, immersive, and candid, making viewers feel connected to his work. Outside of photography, Noemad formerly worked as a Promotions and Marketing Specialist for iconic music labels, namely Atlantic Records, Bad Boy, Def Jam, and Warner Music. In these roles he helped build celebrity status for many artists, managing artist relations, live shows, and the ins-and-outs of the entertainment industry. As an influencer, he has been featured in campaigns by the NFL and G-shock, and hosted photography workshops for The Apple Store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Currently, Noemad is an ambassador for Google Pixel and Jameson Whiskey.

Rush will be offered when advanced tickets for a screening or event are no longer available at venues other than Beacon Theatre.
The Rush system functions as a standby line that will form at the venue approximately one hour prior to scheduled start time. Admittance is based on availability and will begin roughly 10 minutes prior to program start time. Rush Tickets are the same price as advance tickets and are payable upon entry.
